Nylon (Polyamide)
Nylon (Polyamide) is available in two primary forms: cast and extruded. Cast nylon offers a higher molecular weight and greater crystallinity compared to extruded types, resulting in enhanced strength and performance.
Nylon is widely recognized for its excellent mechanical strength, wear resistance, smooth sliding capabilities, and superior machinability. However, unlike polyethylene, nylon absorbs moisture and may expand, making it less suitable for wet or submerged environments.
Different grades of nylon are engineered to meet specific application needs, including self-lubrication, wax-filling, UV resistance, and more. At B Plastics’ Sydney workshop, we specialize in precision machining of nylon components with tight tolerances.
Available Nylon Grades:
Natural, Moly (MoS2), Blue, Green, and Impact-Resistant variants.
PEEK (Polyetheretherketone)
PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) is a high-performance, semi-crystalline thermoplastic known for its exceptional resistance to chemicals environment, low moisture absorption, and excellent fire performance. This material maintains superior mechanical strength across a wide temperature range and offers excellent dimensional stability.
Tough, strong, and rigid, PEEK is ideal for applications where thermal, chemical, and combustion properties are critical. It exhibits superior creep resistance and retains its stiffness and strength in extreme high-pressure and high-temperature (HPHT) environments. PEEK is commonly used in electrical connectors, where it minimizes thermal expansion, provides chemical resistance, and supports effective sealing.
We also offer precise machining of PEEK components with minimal tolerances for your specific requirements.
PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate)
PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a high-performance material known for its high crystallinity, excellent mechanical strength, and superior dimensional stability. The material is rigid and impact-resistant, PET excels in sliding applications, maintaining its characteristics even in harsh environments. Its dimensional stability remains intact even under extreme heat conditions.
PET is commonly used in mechanical, automotive, precision, electrical, and communication engineering, making it a reliable alternative to metals. By replacing metals with PET, manufacturers can reduce costs, weight, and production time. To further enhance its mechanical properties, a solid PTFE lubricant is integrated into the base polymer, resulting in PETP-TF.
We offer precision machining of PET components with minimal tolerances to meet your requirments.
Poly Urethane ( Sheets, Rods and Tubes)
Polyurethane is a versatile synthetic thermoset polymer. Commonly abbreviated as PUR and PU, it is known for its wide application in various industries and offers excellent properties such as strength, durability, flexibility, and thermal stability.
The main ingredients used in the production of poly Urethane are polyols and diisocyanates, which react to form a cross-linked structure. Able to be customized into different forms and offering numerous benefits from flexible foams to hard coatings, polyurethane’s adaptability makes it a popular choice for a variety of uses.
With our commitment to quality and precision, you can trust B Plastics to provide consistent, high-integrity polyurethane materials, ensuring the best outcomes for your projects.
